2205 Stainless steel Plate Duplex steel sheet plate

2205 stainless steel plate is a brand of stainless steel, stainless steel can be divided into: martensitic steel, ferrite steel, austenitic steel, austenitic - ferrite (duplex) stainless steel and precipitation hardening stainless steel. 2205 stainless steel is austenitic ferrite (duplex) stainless steel is the most commonly used a brand. 2205 stainless steel plate: ASTM A240/A240M--01 Duplex stainless steel 2205 is composed of 22% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good integral and local stress corrosion resistance.

Products Details

The stress corrosion resistance of 2205 (00Cr22Ni5Mo3N) duplex stainless steel in neutral chloride solution and H2S is better than that of 304L, 316L austenitic stainless steel and 18-5Mo duplex stainless steel. Can be cold, hot processing and forming, good weldability, the steel is suitable for structural materials, is currently the world in the dual-phase stainless steel used in the most common grade. 2205 stainless steel plate(00Cr22Ni5Mo3N) duplex stainless steel is made up of 21% chromium,2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good integral and local stress corrosion resistance. The yield strength of 2205 duplex stainless steel is twice that of austenitic stainless steel. This property allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, making this alloy more affordable than 316,317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -50°F/+600°F temperature range. Applications beyond this temperature range may also consider this alloy, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures.1. Compared with 316L and 317L austenitic stainless steel,2205 alloy has better performance in corrosion resistance and crack corrosion, it has high corrosion resistance, compared with austenite, its thermal expansion coefficient is lower, higher thermal conductivity. 2. Compared with austenitic stainless steel, the compressive strength of duplex 2205 stainless steel plate is twice that of austenitic stainless steel. Compared with 316L and 317L, the designer can reduce its weight. The 2205 alloy is particularly suitable for use in the -- 50°F/+600°F temperature range and even lower temperatures under tight restrictions (especially for welded structures).1. Uniform corrosion Due to chromium content (22%), molybdenum content (3%) and nitrogen content (0.18%), the corrosion resistance of 2205 is superior to 316L and 317L in most environments. 2. Local corrosion resistance The content of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen in dual-phase steel 2205 makes it highly resistant to spot and gap corrosion in oxidizing and acidic solutions. 3. Stress corrosion resistance The duplex microstructure of stainless steel is helpful to improve the cracking resistance of stainless steel. Chloride stress corrosion occurs in austenitic stainless steel at a certain temperature, tension, oxygen and chloride presence. Because these conditions are difficult to control, the use of 304L, 316L and 317L is limited in this respect. 4. Anti-corrosion fatigue The high strength and corrosion resistance of duplex steel 2205 make it have high corrosion fatigue strength. Processing equipment is susceptible to corrosive environments and loading cycles, and the 2205 features are ideal for such applications.· Pressure vessels, high pressure storage tanks, high pressure pipelines, heat exchangers (chemical processing industry). · Fittings of oil and gas pipelines and heat exchangers. · Sewage treatment system. · Pulp and paper industry classifiers, bleaching equipment, storage and treatment systems. · Rotating shafts, press rollers, blades, impellers, etc. in high strength corrosion resistant environment. · Cargo container of ship or truck · Food processing equipment
